Hi, I'm Foksifu.

霍駿霆 · Cantonese & English Emcee

Born and raised in Hong Kong, I grew up bilingual in Cantonese and English. So I don't awkwardly switch between them at your wedding like a buffering video. I live in both at once. Your grandma and your college roommates laugh at the same joke, at the same time. Nobody's stuck politely nodding, pretending they caught it.

For 6+ years I've worked Bay Area weddings as a bilingual emcee, DJ, and licensed officiant. Basically your ceremony, your host, and your party playlist in one guy who only takes up one seat at the banquet. My favorite trick? Taking your real love story and rewriting it so it's actually funny. The "everyone's crying-laughing" kind, not the "uncle found the mic" kind.

From Napa vineyards to San Francisco banquet halls, the mission never changes: make sure both sides of the family feel like the whole night was built for them. And yes, I'll pronounce every relative's name correctly. In both languages. I practice.

Can you cover both the ceremony and the reception?

Absolutely. I can officiate your ceremony myself as a licensed officiant. Or, if a friend or family member is marrying you, I'll just run the ceremony audio so their words are actually heard. Either way, I then host and DJ your reception, switching between Cantonese and English so every guest feels included from "I do" to the last dance.

What areas do you serve?

The entire San Francisco Bay Area. San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Sacramento, Napa, and everywhere in between.

How much does it cost?

Reception emcee + DJ (with GigBar dance lighting) is $1,860. Add ceremony audio, perfect when a friend is officiating, and it's $2,200. Want me to officiate too? The whole day is $2,500. À la carte: ceremony audio $350, emcee-only $900, DJ-only $960.

What makes you different from other bilingual emcees?

Most emcees translate. I rewrite. I take your real love story and reshape it into something genuinely funny and personal, then deliver it live in both Cantonese and English with energy that keeps the whole room engaged.

Are you a native Cantonese speaker?

Yes. I was born and raised in Hong Kong, so Cantonese and English both come naturally. No scripted phonetics, no awkward pauses.

Do you MC Chinese wedding banquet games?

Yes, and they're some of my favorite moments. From the shoe game to whatever your families dream up, I keep them fun, fast, and on schedule, hosting in both Cantonese and English.

How far in advance should I book?

The sooner the better, since I only take one wedding per date. Most couples book 6 to 12 months out, but reach out anytime. If your date is still open, it's yours once you're booked.

Do you speak Mandarin too?

I'm fluent in Cantonese and English, that's my specialty. My Mandarin is basic, so if you need a fully trilingual host, let's hop on a call first to make sure I'm the right fit for your day.

Do you travel to Sacramento, Napa, and the whole Bay Area?

Yes. I cover the entire Bay Area and beyond, from San Francisco and San Jose to Sacramento and Napa wine country. I come to your venue, wherever it is.
